Saturday 12th December, during the European Film Awards virtual award ceremony held by the European Film Academy, Thomas Vinterberg's film Druk (Another Round) was awarded four of the most prestigious prizes: Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Actor. Having made the Official Selection at Cannes 2020, the Danish director's film, starring Mads Mikkelsen, will return to the big screen for a second round after the reopening of cinemas.
Two other films were also celebrated in the Cannes Selection: the truly beautiful, animated film Josep by the cartoonist Aurel was chosen as the Best European Animated Feature Film, while Emmanuel Courcol's Un Triomphe (The Big Hit), with Kad Merad, was awarded the European Film Award for the Best Comedy! Congratulations to them all!
